This online course is designed to provide the beginning Telecommunicator with an understanding of the vast types of human disabilities, the type of equipment utilized to communicate with those that have a speech and/or hearing disability, and the liability/legal issues that may arise in TDD/TTY operations. This course must be taken within six (6) months of hire-date, and re-certify every 6 months thereafter.
